New Long Term Care Report - Personal Experiences

Finding minor support continues to be a significant obstacle for many elderly Mainers, according to a new study released by the Maine Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program. Prepared by the Muskie School of Public Service and funded by the Maine Health Access Foundation and the Bingham Foundation, the survey was conducted during listening sessions held in communities in eight different regions for a statewide perspective. Two hundred-thirty-eight people representing elderly consumers, family members, providers, advocates and others participated in the surveys last fall.
