UPDATE: Thanks to all you who helped us collect 930 Coats for Maine Seniors! As a result, LL Bean will donate $4,650 to M4A to go to older people in Maine who need fuel assistance. Help ensure that every older Mainer stays warm this winter! Volunteers will be collecting gently worn, clean adult winter coats at locations around the community. For every coat donated, L.L. Bean will contribute $5 to the Maine Association of Area Agencies on Aging (M4A) to provide fuel assistance for seniors.
Drop boxes will be located in the Discovery Lobby of the L.L. Bean Flagship Store on Main Street in Freeport the kick-off weekend of their Northern Lights Celebration FRIDAY-SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22-24, The first 100 people donating coats this weekend will RECEIVE A COUPON FOR A FREE BEN & JERRYâ€™S ICE CREAM CONE. Ben & Jerryâ€™s is sweetening the deal by giving M4A 100% of the profits from sundaes sold on November 23rd at their Freeport location from 12-5pm.
